Annual Salary and Benefits Survey
The CAIU gathers salary and benefit information from all of our school districts. This information includes professional experience, benefits, teacher and supplemental contracts, and administrative and classified support salaries. The surveys are compiled, analyzed, and then distributed to district superintendents annually. Contact Bev Cordier at email@example.com for more information.
Consultation Services Via Phone/Email
Provides accurate, timely responses to questions or concerns; provides guidance or referrals to other professionals as requested. By district request.
The CAIU acts as a repository for copies of member district bargaining and Act 93 agreements, as provided by the districts.
Districts can access the repository via our password protected website.
Guest Teacher Program
The Guest Teacher Program is sponsored by the CAIU and is offered two times per year at the CAIU Administration Offices in Enola. This three day training program was created to find qualified personnel to work as "guest (substitute) teachers" to replace regular classroom teachers while they are on professional or personal leave. Those who successfully complete the training, paperwork, and all required clearances will be qualified to substitute teach in any subject area in the participating public school districts. Participants in the program will be trained in classroom management, educational laws, the art of teaching, professionalism, and special education related issues. Applicants must present a Bachelor's Degree and have a willingness to assist students to learn in the role of a substitute teacher. Contact Bev Cordier at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
HR/Business Advisory Council
The CAIU organizes quarterly meetings of our districts’ HR personnel to discuss pertinent HR issues and information from PDE and other agencies, organizations, and individuals in an effort to keep our school districts informed.
Provides informational updates via email or other written correspondence regarding changes occurring in the HR field. By district request.
Subfinder is an automated system used to report and track absences and secure day-to-day substitutes to fill teacher and paraprofessional vacancies. Employees who do not require substitutes also report their absences through the Subfinder system. The CAIU provides Subfinder to several of its member school districts at a discounted rate. Contact Dori Dorritie at email@example.com for more information.
