As part of our participation in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) we are able to offer free and reduced price meals to students who qualify, based on income guidelines established by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Federal regulations stipulate that families must file an application annually (either online or a paper application) at the beginning of the school year. Families are encouraged to re-apply at anytime during the school year if their income or household size changes. Eligible children can receive one full breakfast and one full lunch per day free of charge or at a reduced rate.
Eligibility from one school year is carried over into the next school year to allow time for families to re-apply. If a new application has not been received and approved by the cut-off date, 30 week days after school begins, eligibility for the program is forfeited and parents/caregivers are responsible for meal charges incurred.
